It’s been a jet-set week for the Duchess of Sussex, beginning with a baby shower in New York surrounded by close friends and culminating with a “baby moon” of sorts (in reality, a working trip with Prince Harry) to Morocco. Her travelling wardrobe, therefore, has had to encompass dressed-down athleisure, chic vintage, smart tailoring, a red Valentino cape dress and, finally, custom jewel-embellished Dior.
Hitting fashion headlines on the day that Hollywood’s royalty come together for the biggest awards ceremony of the year is no mean feat but stepping out for a reception hosted by the British Ambassador to Morocco in Rabat this evening, Meghan chose a cream, kaftan-inspired gown. Offsetting the show-stopping look with gold accented accessories, she carried a bespoke Dior clutch and wore Birks Snowflake diamond earrings.
The Duke and Duchess’s three-day trip – two months before the anticipated due date of their first child – began yesterday as they touched down in Casablanca. Today, the couple travelled to Asni Town in the Atlas Mountains for a visit to a boarding house built by the Moroccan NGO “Education For All”, which ensures that girls in poor and rural areas can access education. As well as meeting students at the school, Meghan received a traditional henna tattoo, intended to bring luck.
